Who it's for
Creators who want to try action-camera footage — biking, snorkeling, travel — without committing to a $300+ camera first.
Overview
The EK7000 is AKASO's best-selling entry point into action cameras — 4K30fps video, 20MP stills, and electronic stabilization in a GoPro-style form factor that fits standard action-cam mounts. It ships with a waterproof case rated to 131ft, two batteries, a wrist remote, and a full mounting kit, so it's ready for biking, snorkeling, or travel vlogging straight out of the box without buying anything else first.
Pros
- Extremely affordable entry point into 4K action video
- Waterproof case, two batteries, and a full mount kit included in the box
- Compatible with the huge ecosystem of standard GoPro-style mounts
- Simple button layout that's easy to operate with gloves or wet hands
Cons
- Low-light footage gets noisy compared to premium action cameras
- App pairing can be finicky on some phones
What buyers say
39,654 ratings average 4.4/5, with 71% at 5 stars. Reviewers consistently call out the value for the price and the complete accessory kit; the 1-2 star share mostly points at low-light quality and occasional app connectivity issues.
Incredible value for a first action camera
Bought it for family bike trips and snorkeling and says the video quality easily beats the price point, especially with everything included in the box.
Waterproof case actually works
Took it snorkeling multiple times with zero leaks and says the mounting kit covers basically every attachment scenario they needed.
Great for the price, app is hit or miss
Happy with the footage quality overall but says the companion app sometimes takes a few tries to connect over WiFi.
