Who it's for
Creators editing on a laptop who need to pull footage off camera cards, connect an external drive, and check a bigger screen — all from one port.
Overview
A single dongle that turns one USB-C port into everything a creator needs to offload and edit footage on location: an SD and microSD card reader for pulling clips straight off a camera, two USB 3.0 ports for an external drive or peripherals, an HDMI output to check footage on a bigger screen, and pass-through charging so the laptop doesn't lose battery while everything else is plugged in.
Pros
- Built-in SD and microSD reader means no separate card reader needed for offloading footage
- 85W passthrough charging keeps the laptop topped up while the hub is in use
- 4K@60Hz HDMI output is sharp enough for reviewing footage on an external monitor
- Compact enough to keep permanently in a laptop sleeve or camera bag
Cons
- Only one USB-C data port, so heavy multi-drive setups may still need a second hub
- Card reader speed is good but not as fast as a dedicated UHS-II reader for pro workflows
What buyers say
4,884 ratings average 4.5/5, with 78% at 5 stars. Reviewers consistently highlight the SD/TF card reader and passthrough charging as the standout features; the small 1-2 star share mostly involves specific laptop compatibility quirks.
Offloading footage is so much faster now
Uses the built-in SD reader to pull clips straight from their camera card without a separate reader, and says the transfer speed is noticeably quick.
Charges my laptop while editing
Keeps their MacBook plugged into this hub all day while editing and says the passthrough charging keeps the battery from ever dropping.
Great hub, wish it had two USB-C data ports
Loves the port selection overall but says a second USB-C data port would make it perfect for their multi-drive editing setup.
