Who it's for
Event and run-and-gun shooters who film handheld for long stretches and want to save their arms without buying a full cinema rig.
Overview
A padded shoulder rig that moves a DSLR, mirrorless, or camcorder's weight off your arms and onto your shoulder, cutting the handheld shake that comes from long takes. The camera riser and extension plate adjust height and reach for a personalized fit, and it breaks down into a storage bag for travel. Also works with a smartphone or GoPro via the included mounts.
Pros
- Takes camera weight off your arms during long handheld shoots
- Adjustable riser and extension plate fit different body sizes and camera setups
- Breaks down compactly into the included storage bag for travel
- Universal design also works with GoPro and smartphones
Cons
- The fixed right-angle shoulder piece doesn't suit every body type, per some reviewers
- Best paired with lighter DSLR/mirrorless bodies rather than heavy cinema rigs
What buyers say
140 ratings average 4.2/5, with 68% at 5 stars. Reviewers highlight the strain relief on long handheld shoots; the main criticism is that the fixed shoulder angle isn't a universal fit for every body type.
Saved my shoulders during gala season
An event photographer recovering from a wrist injury says this let them keep shooting one-handed, reducing arm strain noticeably during long shifts.
Camera-ready and versatile
Used it with a Canon EOS M50 Mark II and says it does exactly what's needed for steadier handheld shots.
Shoulder angle doesn't suit everyone
Found the fixed right-angle shoulder piece dug in uncomfortably and wished for an adjustable back/shoulder piece instead.
