Who it's for
Content creators who've outgrown a basic travel tripod and want a stable, reputable-brand tripod that still packs down small.
Overview
A travel tripod from one of photography's most established brands, built for compact cameras, mirrorless, and DSLRs that need real stability without a heavy pro-tripod footprint. Patented leg-angle selectors let you set up fast and precisely, quick-flip leg locks handle instant deployment, and the aluminum ball head's dual-lock design gives smooth framing that still locks down firmly. A weight hook on the center column adds extra stability outdoors.
Pros
- Excellent stability-to-weight ratio from a well-established, reputable brand
- Quick-flip leg locks and leg-angle selectors make setup fast and precise
- 8 kg payload comfortably handles heavier zoom lenses where lighter travel tripods struggle
- Padded carrying bag and 42.5 cm folded length make it genuinely travel-friendly
Cons
- Not the lightest travel tripod on the market — carbon fiber options weigh less
- A small number of reviewers report the leg-lock mechanism wearing out under frequent heavy use
What buyers say
214 ratings average 4.4/5, with 79% at 5 stars. Reviewers consistently praise the build quality and stability relative to other travel tripods; the small share of critical reviews points at leg-lock durability after extended heavy use.
Excellent value from a reputable brand
Compared it to several travel tripods including carbon fiber options and picked this one for its stability with a full-frame DSLR and zoom lenses, saying it feels mature and polished compared to lesser-known brands.
Solid, stable, flexible, quality build
Bought it on a Wirecutter recommendation and says it's solidly built, very stable, and highly adjustable — feels like it's built to last despite cheaper alternatives being available.
Leg connectors wore out quickly for one buyer
Reports the leg locks jammed after a day of travel use and became difficult to close, calling it a frustrating experience on a trip.
